I'm an experienced cruising sailor but have never raced. I do want to learn. I have skippered boats up to 34 feet, but am humble enough to go into racing with the attitude that I know nothing. Physically I am very strong, great stamina, a good sailor all around, and can take orders like a champ. No attitude, just want to learn from a beginners standpoint. |

Hi, 33/m professional-day-job guy, 170lbs 5'8", intermediate sailor looking for casual racing on a 25-40ft boat. Can do most weekends and some weekdays for practice/racing. Have done foredeck on an Olson 30 racing in the bay for a few years, but can do any role if needed. Looking for a brisk ride, maybe 3-5 people total complement, ok with getting wet. Should be competitive, but good company and having fun and learning are very important (no jerks/yelling). Strong preference for boats out of Berkeley or Emeryville. Cheers |

I know some basic sailing terminology and thats where my sailing experience ends. I am however in OUTSTANDING physical condition, I am a fast learner, very fast and agile for a 6 foot 3 inch 220 pound man. I have amazing stamina and more importantly I have a wonderful attitude. I have medical training and extensive emergency first responder experience in law enforcement and the fire service. |

I've recently passed the ASA 101 class with SEA in Sausalito and have a little bit of experience as crew on Hobie cats. I'm about 5'5" and 140lbs in case thats relevant. I'm a very quick study and am interested in all aspects of sailing. I was a bartender through college, so I'm good at thinking while moving and can also make great spirit warming drinks after its all said and done. |

Hello Skipper! Just last season I discovered sailing while helping a friend remodel his 26' Paceship. We did day sails around the Boston Islands multiple times a week that season. When not sailing the Paceship I took classes in a Rhodes 19' through the Nahant, MA harbor. I loved the team work, sailing community, and enjoyed hearing people tell their racing stories. I would love to get into this aspect of sailing and hope to do so out here now that I've moved west. Because my current living/working location is the South Bay, I am only available for weekend races - Saturdays and Sundays. Athletic.Energetic.Ready to crew. Cheers! |

I'd like to get back into racing. The boats I have crewed on no longer race. I crewed on an Islander 36 in the mid-1990s in Bay races, Coastal Cup and Pac Cup. I've also crewed on a J35 up until 2 years ago doing Bay and ocean series as well as Coastal and Pac Cup. I can handle all positions except foredeck. I'm 66 and still in decent shape. We were reasonably competitive and had a lot of fun too. Let me know if you need crew. I.m looking for boats over 30 ft. jglenno@aol.com or jglennon@bayareanewsgroup.com Thanks. My name is Matthew and I am looking for a crew member or two (spare) to do double handed races in 2012. I have and Olson 40 set up with ball bearing main and cars. Easy to sail single handed and double. I can and will do fordeck when needed. |

I sailed when I was young with my mother, who is a consummate sailor. Currently I am a member of the Cal sailing club in Berkeley and I go sailing at least once a week. I am skilled enough to captain keel boats in the bay and often take friends out for lessons. I have been on the open ocean numerous times when younger; however, I have not had the opportunity recently. I experience in dinghy racing, but not in keel boat racing. |

I grew up racing and teaching one-design dinghys (opti, 420, laser) on the South Shore of Mass. Eventually moved on to J24 racing, mainly foredeck and mast - spent 6-7 years traveling around New England with the same crew. I've picked up spots on larger J's here and there, but I'm open for anything! 5'-6", 140lbs |
