I returned after 3+ years in Asia working as a scuba diving instructor to San Francisco. During this time I worrked on a number of different live aboards. I am looking at eventually buying a boat and starting a live aboard company based out of SE Asia. In the mean time I want to be on the water as much as possible. I work hard and am allot of fun. I want more than anything to learn more sailing skills. I spent a week in May volunteering on the Clearwater Sloop in New York. The Clearwater is a 108' environmental education boat that sails up and down the Hudson River. During that time I lived onboard and learned sailing basics. This includes learning the knots most used, setting the sails, furling the jib. Prior to that experience I went out on the SF Bay once on a schooner in the spring. I also spent two days on a 41' schooner on Lago Isabel and Rio Dulce in Guatemala. Thanks a lot for checking out my listing! |

Hello, My name is Tyler Anderson. I am a 24yr old recent transplant from Denver, Colorado. I am extremely interested in getting to know the ropes on a boat; and not just figuratively. I have next to no experience but will do just about anything to get some time on any vessel with a mast and a hull. I am quite physically fit- I cycle almost daily and I ran a half marathon in May of 2012. Although most of my adventures have been confined to land-I hiked the entire Appalachian trail when I was 20 and just recently I stayed in Ghana for a month over the summer. I am no stranger to hard work and am very responsible. If someone would take the time to offer me their time, I would not take the gesture lightly. I want to learn how to travel in every way I can in the best economical way. I love the thrill of working hard to get to a destination of any sort. I love to dance, sing, act, and perform and want to make a web series on all the things I have learned to do in life to show people that they can do these things as well. I grew up in Philadelphia and it was hard to get out of my comfort zone there. Now I am on the west coast and have been hitch hiking, camping, and couch surfing to get around with little jobs here and there to save up. I love the idea of moving around a lot and want to continue to do so all over the world! O and I also love to cook. The most amount of people I have cooked for was 140 for a 10 day meditation course. I am also a certified Pilates instructor and can teach basic ballroom dancing. |

Hello! My childhood was spent along Lake Michigan, sailing with friends and family on various small boats. I've lived in SF for a few years & recently took sailing classes so I know some of the basics, but there is much more to learn! I enjoying bringing healthy snacks and great beverages for the day. I also always have sunscreen. |

I am a graduating senior at UC Berkeley and will be in the Bay Area all summer. I have taken many sailing lessons on smaller dinghies but want to get experience on larger boats. I am extremely outgoing and comfortable on the water. I rowed competitively for 6 years and was a member of the Cal Women's Varsity Rowing team. I am fun, spunky and a great cook as well. |

Axel, 34years old, has been "hobby" sailing since 1994 in Germany and Canada, mostly on large lakes, never any races etc. Lives in Pacific Heights/San Francisco, works in the Valley. Considering myself a beginner to intermediate as I do not own a boat myself (yet) and I am in the midst of learning the proper English sailing vocabulary. Also I went sailing maybe 4-5 times per year. Very interested in getting into sailing the Bay (San Francisco or Sausalito area) and learning from more experienced skippers. Very interested in getting into the sailing community. Very interested in getting into racing, but I did not sign up for this list yet as I have no racing experience.
